All Members Federal Credit Union members are also owners of the credit union, and the $25 balance in your Savings is your "share" in the credit union. As a member-owner, you can take advantage of all of the credit unions products and services and vote for the volunteer Board of Directors and Committees. |
No. In addition to no monthly service charges, there is no minimum deposit or minimum balance required for Advantage Checking. We do ask that if you order checks when you open the account, that you deposit enough to cover the cost of the initial check order. | |
| What is the difference between an ATM Card and a Visa Debit Card? | Once I am a member, who in my family can join? | |
| An ATM Card may be used to access your Members Federal Credit Union account at any Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), and at any merchant that supports the "Pulse" network. In addition to ATM and Pulse transactions, a Visa Debit Card may also be used at any merchant that accepts Visa (and earns ScoreCard bonus points on all Visa transactions). Members must have an Advantage Checking Account to obtain either card. | Family members eligible to join include parents, grandparents, spouses, children and siblings includes step and adoptive relationships. Immediate members of a household, defined as individuals living in the same residence who maintain a single economic unit, are also eligible. | |
| What is the difference between the "Member Number" and "Account Number" prompts used in Telephone Teller? | ||
| When you call Telephone Teller, our automated account telephone system, it first prompts you to enter your Member Number which is the number given to you on your Membership ID card when you opened your account. When the system asks for an Account Number, it is referring to a specific type of account. Commonly used Account Numbers include 1 for savings, 2 for checking, 5 for money market and 6 for Christmas Club. | ||
